Back to Bangkok

Up at 5 — OK really I’ve been up since 3am — the monsoon is heavy and loud this morning.  Kaity and I are catching a flight this morning from Chiangmai to Bangkok.  We have a 12:15pm appointment at the British embassy in the capital.  She needs a visa for the UK and the English want her fingerprints.

Security is tight due to the threat of global terrorism.  I get that.  But the paperwork is akin to adoption filing.  Confusing, contradictory and crazy-making.  We’re praying for answers to our questions and a favorable response to Kait’s petition.

We’re back from Bangkok later today and then head to Burma and the Golden Triangle tomorrow.

  1. Ok, They took one look at Kait and just knew that she needed the “charater building course no. 417″ (British version). I don’t get it, how could they not be begging to have our Kait on UK soil. They desperately need the beauty, culture and class…not to mention the brains and the spiritual maturity. So, do you think they monitor the internet like the Chinese? Oops, there goes the visa.
I miss all of you sooo much!
